Our services now come directly to YOU - great flexibility for people, pets, products - whatever!

Many of our customers ask us these questions:

What should I wear for my portrait session?

Darker, solid colors are always best as they let the photograph show off YOU! Of course feel free to break to rules - it's all about YOU!

Why do you use so few props?

While we strongly encourage anyone to bring whatever props have meaning to them, our photographic vision is about showing YOU and your character, not giant footballs or fake clothing. Sports equipment, instruments, hobby items all make great additions to telling your story - bring them!

What sort of equipment do you use and why?

All of our cameras are Nikon and all with Pro Nikkor lenses (yes it makes a huge difference) - durability and image quality over the past 40+ years give us rock solid confidence!

Do you bring a backup camera to my wedding?

Yes, every wedding is covered with no less than three camera bodies - and often as many as five. All of our equipment is interchangeable - within the kit and from photographer to photographer. Cameras, lenses and flash can be used in any combination.

Do you always use flash at a wedding?

No, our highest level wedding service has special options for no flash at all. Those are the most "photojournalist" in style and require the most expensive equipment and experienced photographers.

Are your wallets die cut?

Yes, wallets prints are always delivered round corner cut.

Wouldn't you know - on my portrait day - a new zit!

Don't worry! Basic retouching is included on every purchased image from sessions at the Creative level !

How many images do you take at a wedding?

It depends on many factors but a good way to estimate is 150 images per hour of coverage. Yes, that means 1500 in ten hours - or more!

How many images do take at my senior session?

Again it depends on the session you choose, but usually 20-30 for the most basic and upwards to 300+ for the Creative Deluxe with added outdoor sessions.

What about retouching?

Basic retouching is included in Creative sessions - any purchased image will be be retouched for minor flaws. For extensive retouching (braces, extensive acne, moving body parts, etc) additional charges will apply. Download our Senior Portraiture info sheet for more details and examples.
